Our Services
Through peer to peer support we can and we do find our footing again. We allow our 34 acres of vast nature, 6 incredible horses and peer support framework weave its way into our Clients—at where they are in their journey–nothing forced. After completion of an 8-12 week program we continue to forge bonds by hosting monthly reconnects.
At Greener Pastures
We pride ourselves on the philosophy of partnering with our horses rather than merely using them. Our commitment to high-quality care and guardianship reflects the deep respect we hold for these incredible animals, who are truly the soul of our work. Each of our horses has a rich history as athletes, excelling in various disciplines such as dressage, pulling bred competition, and serving as Mennonite plow and hauling teams. However, we recognize that life can take unexpected turns, and injuries can alter their trajectories. Just like our horses, we believe in rediscovery and repurposing.
We do not discard or use our horses;
Instead, we honor their journey and help them find new purposes through meaningful partnerships with people. In this way, our horses, once champions in their respective fields, transform into superstars in a new chapter of life, demonstrating resilience and a renewed spirit in the process.

We're thrilled to introduce Finneas and Angus, two handsome painted geldings joining the Greener Pastures Equine team! These half-brothers possess an uncanny wisdom and curiosity, hinting at old souls in young bodies. We believe they will be wonderful additions to our program.
Finneas and Angus will begin their journey as three-year-olds with an intensive 90-day professional colt starting program in Fall 2025. This foundational training will focus on building trust, developing fundamental skills, and ensuring they are well-prepared for their future roles within our program.
Our goal is to have Finneas and Angus integrated into the Greener Pastures program by Spring 2027. Their arrival will allow some of our more senior equine partners to enjoy a well-deserved retirement, knowing they are leaving the program in capable hooves.

Lolli, a remarkable Mennonite horse, has made her mark as a dedicated worker in the fields of corn, while also delivering several magnificent colts in her lifetime. She came to us during a period when we desperately needed hope and inspiration, and her surprise delivery of a glorious colt named Monty on June 19, 2024, was a testament to her unpredictable charm, reminding us that even the latest technology, such as ultrasound, is not always infallible. Lolli possesses an innate ability to forge deep connections with those around her, establishing an extraordinary relationship with humans that seemingly transcends her own species. Expressive, curious, and loving, Lolli is taking her time to settle into her new role as a pleasure horse and a gifted intuitive connector, remarkably attuned to the emotional landscapes of her human companions. In a world where deep connections are essential, Lolli proves to be an exceptional feeler, making her presence felt, not just in the fields, but in the hearts of our community, peers, and everyone who encounters her.

The Mighty Mare of Quiet Strength
Poppy's journey to becoming a distinguished member of the herd is a testament to her background as a Mennonite plow and haul team member. In her previous role, she developed an impressive physical presence and an unyielding work ethic that have shaped her into the mighty mare she is today. While her transition to pleasure riding required some adjustment—moving from a life of labor to one of leisure—Poppy has embraced this challenge with patience. Initially, the gentle giant struggled to shed her work mode and learn the nuances of relaxation, but her inherent qualities have shone through. Recognized for her wise demeanor and majestic strength, Poppy eventually emerged as a leader among her peers. Her leadership style is characterized by fairness, quietness, and consistency, making her the reliable herd mare that others trust. In a world where strength can often be equated with dominance, Poppy redefines the notion through her gentle guidance and nurturing presence, proving that true leadership comes from understanding and patience.
